During the X Cultural Week held from 1^st to 20^th of September 2008 we have been able to enjoy various events held in the State School, Municipal Library, Youth House, Escalente Tower and Day Centre:

• Exhibition by Juan Ramón Jiménez: “That light poplar” and address by Miguel Ángel Vázquez.
• Theatrical performance with the Alamar group: “Playing with Don Quijote”.
• Workshop for cosmetics, braids and dreadlocks and for beads and giant bubbles.
• Presentation of the first volume of “Instant Stories” by Juan Gaitán.
• Popular Games for the young.
• Literary meetings with Alfredo Taján and Diego Jiménez.
• Projection of images in memory of Salvador Moreno.
• Conference “The rebellion of Sierra Bermeja and Venta Quemá (Burnt Inn)” by Lina Urbaneja.
